It was some time ago now that I accidentally told someone, or wrote it down, who knows which came first, the thought or the act, but I definitely at some point said, I am an artist, a pedestrian and a writer. And that the order of those things is important, there’s a hierarchy of expectations to be managed here… I am an artist, a pedestrian and a writer, but I don’t wear it as a badge in the same way an apple has a label in a shop.
Artist, Pedestrian, Writer, an attempt to escape the pigeon holing process that our civilization seems so drawn to, underpinned by, I want all the categories, all things are delicately interconnected, I am not one without the other. And I know this makes things hard work. But if you’ve made it this far in then I’m going to guess you’re the kind of person who is up for that. So here is a gathering of texts and works on paper, some things are for sale, some things are for free, some things have been sold and some things can’t be given away, they have to be received.
