Tickets are now live for this years Soundcamp at Kestle Barton, with early birds on sale until this weekend.

Tickets here Earlybird until April 18th

Invitation:

Join us at Kestle Barton for a weekend of listening to the world turn in celebration of International Dawn Chorus Day with Soundtent and Resonance FM.

As the world wakes up for International Dawn Chorus Day, hundreds of globally dispersed microphones will be blended together to broadcast a 24-hour long stream of the dawn chorus in real time as the world turns.

Come and add to this durational, celestial soundwork by walking, camping, eating, making, talking, playing and being at Kestle Barton with birdsong, food, workshops and quiet rituals of your own making.

Camping:

For one night only come and camp in the orchard at Kestle Barton, share food around the fireside and be woken at dawn on Sunday 3rd of May for a listening ritual introduced by Dr. Bram Thomas Arnold of Falmouth University, and live music from Cornwall’s The Worm  “offering a playful, truly remarkable folk fantasia filled with a sublime, childlike sense of wonder.”

Sound / image / time / capture / collaborate:

International Dawn Chorus Day is the peak of the birdsong calendar whilst in the studio Moogie Wonderland will be making a place for recording sounds from nature, resynthesizing them, and through experiments with modular synthesizers, record an experimental piece of music that will be live streamed during dinner in the evening.

Out in the orchard Dark Roam will be working to produce pinhole camera artworks as the day unfolds, using tin beer cans and photography paper participants can capture their own moments in the meadow using little else but time and sunlight, being and presence.

The studio will also host a permanent live feed of the stream via Resonance FM, a reading room, and an interactive listening station where participants can choose which livestream to listen to in the space and document these globally dispersed moments on the wall.
