A performative installation that changed over the week long duration of the show.

For the Alytus Biennale in 2007 I commissioned a professional translator to produce a Lithuanian version of Door To Moor: Infinite Edition, after the exhibition I received a bundle of edits made by people in Alytus, in Lithuanian. I proceeded to buy myself a small English-Lithuanian dictionary and attempt to translate the texts back into English forming a number of stilted poems, as well as using them as edits to be added to Door To Moor: Infinite Edition. The installation also included articles relating to Door To Moor as an aesthetic introduction to the project as a whole.

Maps, slides, books, c-type prints, pens, paper.

Learning to Translate Lithuanian is part of the series Actions For and Against Nature, which is ongoing.
