What could a man from the West was a performance installation presented as part of Artisterium 5 in Tbilisi, Georgia, based on research and experiences that took place upon the Great Silk Road through Uzbekistan to the Aral Sea in September.

The durational performance lasted for 1 hour, in a series of slow gestures that resulted in the burning of several boxes of matches to produce a line that traced the route taken across Uzbekistan. The resulting paper was hung on the wall as part of the display 'There is a photograph I have taken that I cannot show you'

Materials: 100g pure silk, tailored suit, Uzbek matches, picture frame, parchment paper, sand, shells and stone from the bed of the Aral Sea, cognac.
